About

Panel Event

We hosted a Youth Environmentalist panel event Sunday, September 29th, at 5pm PST, at Mt. Tabor Park, picnic site B.

This panel event was a chill, informal evening to meet different youth environmentalists, learn from professionals in ecosystem restoration, and engage with different backstories for climate action. Professionals from the city of Portland attended, and youth from all backgrounds came! Stay tuned for our next event!

Litter Events

We consistently host litter events featuring food, fun vibes, and environmentalism. Stay tuned for when our next event is - we will post it on our socials and on the site here!

Our discord is the exclusive place where we post everything first. Join it to stay in the loop!

aboutus

We are an organization founded in 2020 dedicated to tackling climate change, one step at a time. Understanding that we cannot change the world alone, our goal has been to help youth and young adults throughout the world learn about, rebuild, and protect ecosystems. With our collective knowledge, we can protect the Earth for generations to come!

EcoLearners Portland aims to take this mission a further step - to bring climate education and environmental restoration to the citizens of Portland, Oregon. With generous support from the Portland City Government, we aim to plant native species in the community, remove litter, and create community events for people to participate in.

Our Goals

With the help of youth from the community, we want to plant hundreds of trees in the upcoming year, clean a community area from litter, and engage at least another 1,000 youth in environmentalism online.

The species we want to plant include Oregon grape, western red cedar, sword fern, dogwood, and more. For litter cleanups, we will host events for community members to join.

All of these projects will need suggestions for areas in order to take place, and permission from land-owners to complete the restoration. If you would like to suggest an area, please contact us.

This project starts with you. We have youth from the community help design these projects and implement them. Whether you're an 18 year old wanting to be involved in environmentlism or a 25 year old already working in it, we'd love to have you join the planning team.

Benefits include gift cards, prizes, cash money, volunteer hours and recomendation letters for work.

There will also be other opportunities to join the restoration events. Note that for safety and city policies, you must be 18+ to join in Portland events. If you're under 18, we'd still love to have you in online planning or be involved in other ways.

Thanks for submitting!
